## TL;DR

This paper provides the genome sequence of the Mountain Dappled White butterfly, including detailed information on its haplotypes and mitochondrial genome.

## Contribution

The study presents a high-quality genome assembly of Euchloe simplonia, including chromosomal pseudomolecules and mitochondrial data.

## Key findings

- The genome assembly includes two haplotypes totaling 397.32 and 398.10 megabases.
- Haplotype 1 is mostly scaffolded into 31 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome.
- The mitochondrial genome is 15.23 kilobases in length.

## Abstract

We present a genome assembly from a male specimen of
Euchloe simplonia (Mountain Dappled White; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Pieridae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 397.32 megabases and 398.10 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.26%) is scaffolded into 31 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.23 kilobases.
