## TL;DR

This paper presents the genome sequence of the Speckled Yellow moth, including two haplotypes and the mitochondrial genome.

## Contribution

The study provides a high-quality genome assembly for Pseudopanthera macularia, including chromosomal pseudomolecules and sex chromosomes.

## Key findings

- The genome assembly includes two haplotypes with lengths of 717.87 and 650.90 megabases.
- Haplotype 1 is scaffolded into 32 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including W and Z sex chromosomes.
- The mitochondrial genome is 15.61 kilobases in length.

## Abstract

We present a genome assembly from a female specimen of
Pseudopanthera macularia (Speckled Yellow; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Geometridae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 717.87 megabases and 650.90 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.61%) is scaffolded into 32 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W and Z sex chromosomes. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.61 kilobases.
