TL;DR
A video about spinal anesthesia reduced preoperative anxiety and sedative use in prostate surgery patients compared to standard information.
Contribution
The study introduces an informational video as a novel method to reduce anxiety and sedative requirements in spinal anesthesia for TURP surgery.
Findings
Patients who watched the video had significantly lower anxiety levels in the preoperative preparation room.
Group 1 required significantly less intraoperative dexmedetomidine compared to the standard information group.
