Abstract
The purpose of this article is to present the spatiotemporal dynamics of temperature, relative humidity and dew point in a residential building according to three dwelling modes in Douala, Cameroon. These microclimatic parameters were collected outside and inside three rooms, namely an open and unoccupied room (S1), a closed and unoccupied room (S2) and an occupied room (S3). Data collection were carried out over 365 days at one-minute intervals, resulting in a total of 525,600 records for each parameter. The data were collected using EXTECHⓇ RHT10 thermohygrometers. It was then transferred and processed in Excel and imported into MATLAB software to represent seasonal variations. The data collected can be used in simulation software to model the thermal performance of buildings in tropical areas.
