TL;DR
This review identifies gaps in tools for assessing food behaviors in South Asia and suggests adapting existing tools for better efficiency and consistency.
Contribution
The study provides a comprehensive scoping review of assessment tools for food behaviors in South Asia, highlighting the lack of validated and standardized tools.
Findings
Most studies used quantitative methods, with Likert scales being the most common tool.
Only 14 of 50 studies used validated tools, and few included full tools in their materials.
There is a need for a contextually adaptable repository of assessment tools for food behaviors in South Asia.
