Abstract
Gallbladder and biliary tract cancers (GBTC) remain a global health burden, particularly in adults aged 45 years and older. Understanding trends, regional disparities, and risk factors is crucial for guiding public health strategies. This study aimed to evaluate the global, regional, and national patterns of GBTC burden from 1990 to 2021, with a focus on socio-demographic variations and cross-country inequalities. Data were obtained from the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) 2021 study, covering 204 countries and territories. Age-standardized incidence rates (ASIR), age-standardized prevalence rates (ASPR), age-standardized mortality rates (ASMR), and age-standardized disability-adjusted life years rates (ASDR) were calculated.
