Abstract
Objectives: To assess the incidence rate of anterior acute uveitis (AAU) in patients with longstanding axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA); to evaluate demographic and clinical characteristics associated with AAU development; and to determine the influence of AAU on bDMARD initiation and retention in this population. Methods: This two-timepoint cohort study analysed data from patients enrolled in the Spanish SpA registry REGISPONSER (2004–2007), who were re-evaluated 17 years later in the REGISPON-3 follow-up study (2021–2023). Information on the date of first AAU episode and bDMARD initiation was collected.
