A new care model called Agile Comprehensive Care reduced emergency department visits and costs for patients with complex mental health needs.
Contribution
The aCC service introduces a systemic intervention for high ED utilizers using comprehensive treatment plans and clinician support.
Findings

Mental health ED visits dropped from 9 to 1 per patient.
Service costs per patient fell from AUS 64,921 to AUS 19,329.
