Contribution
The study introduces online focus groups as an effective method for collecting qualitative data in large geographic areas with diverse populations.
Findings
Participants identified 17 primary themes related to cancer care needs and solutions, including accessible information and overcoming practical barriers.
Emergent subthemes highlighted disparities based on race, ethnicity, geography, and other factors, emphasizing the need for culturally sensitive care.
Online focus groups proved valuable for capturing community perspectives on cancer care in rural and urban Kentucky.
