Terrence W. Thomas, Murat Cankurt

TL;DR
This study explores how food security contributes to quality of life in low-income communities, finding it plays a moderate role compared to other factors like spiritual well-being and health access.
Contribution
The study introduces the ISAC approach to evaluate food security's role in quality of life by analyzing its position in a community's value matrix.
Findings
Spiritual well-being is the top contributor to quality of life with a weight of 0.23.
Food security has a moderate impact with a weight of 0.07 in the quality of life matrix.
Policy interventions should integrate food security with broader quality of life factors for vulnerable groups.
