Anwar A. AlMuzaini, Dalal H. AlOmar, Jassem M. Bastaki

TL;DR
This paper reports cases in Kuwait where syphilis first showed as oral lesions, highlighting the need for better awareness among healthcare providers.
Contribution
The study highlights an emerging trend of oral lesions as the primary sign of syphilis in Kuwait, where recent data is lacking.
Findings
Oral lesions were the first and often the only sign of secondary syphilis in the cases presented.
Many patients were initially misdiagnosed, leading to delayed treatment.
Early recognition of oral symptoms is crucial for timely diagnosis and preventing disease spread.
