TL;DR
This study reviews the quality of clinical guidelines for acute kidney injury, finding that most lack transparency and need improvement for diverse patient groups.
Contribution
The study systematically evaluates the methodological quality of AKI guidelines and highlights gaps in demographic inclusivity and practical applicability.
Findings
Only one guideline was strongly recommended, while six were generally recommended.
Guidelines showed moderate reporting completeness but lacked transparency and quality assurance.
The 2012 KDIGO guideline is identified as the highest-quality AKI guidance.
