Abstract
Background Despite the ocular side effects associated with artificial eyelashes, their usage is increasing among females globally. However, there is a lack of research on this topic among females in the Arab world. This study investigates the awareness and knowledge of artificial eyelash use and its associated issues among Palestinian females. Methods This study utilized a descriptive cross-sectional design and involved 499 female participants, with a mean age of 26.1 years (±8.2). Participants completed a self-administered questionnaire that collected data on demographics, awareness, reasons for use, usage behavior, and associated ocular adverse effects related to artificial eyelashes.
