Abstract
Background: The transapical off-pump NeoChord procedure is a recognized minimally invasive surgical approach for the treatment of severe degenerative mitral regurgitation. This study aims to report the initial Greek experience with the NeoChord procedure, presenting mid-term clinical and echocardiographic outcomes from a single cardiothoracic surgical center, with a median follow-up duration of 20 months. Methods: In this study, 42 symptomatic patients with moderate to severe and severe primary mitral regurgitation underwent mitral valve repair with the Neochord procedure between March 2018 and December 2024.
