Firdhaus Zainudin, Yuen Keat Gan, Haireen Kamaruddin, Jemaima Che Hamzah

TL;DR
A patient with severe keratoconus and cataracts experienced improved vision and quality of life after cataract surgery.
Contribution
This case demonstrates successful cataract surgery in a patient with severe keratoconus, leading to significant astigmatism correction and improved quality of life.
Findings
Postoperative cylindrical power was reduced to -2.50DC in the right eye and -1.50DC in the left eye.
The patient reported increased independence and improved quality of life after surgery.
Successful outcomes were achieved through careful biometry calculations and toric IOL implantation.
Abstract

This deterioration may not only impact their vision but also affect their emotional well-being and mental health.
