TL;DR
This study explores how psychosocial factors affect treatment decisions in older women with early-stage breast cancer.
Contribution
It is the first study to examine this relationship in older women using a comprehensive geriatric assessment.
Findings
Overall psychosocial scores were not linked to treatment decisions.
Lower scores in specific questions were associated with non-surgical treatment.
The study highlights the potential for a pre-screening tool based on these findings.
