Abstract
Trabeculectomy with mitomycin C is a key surgical intervention for managing glaucoma when conservative treatments fail. The success of trabeculectomy is influenced by various factors, including preoperative ocular characteristics like conjunctival vascularity. This study aims to explore the relationship between the preoperative conjunctival vascular area and post-trabeculectomy outcomes in glaucoma patients. By analyzing the conjunctival vascular density, intraocular pressure (IOP), bleb morphology, laser suture lysis (LSL) frequency, and postoperative eye drops, this research sheds light on the impact of preoperative vascularity on surgical success.
