Saba Inam, Mirat Qari, Henry Roberts, Thomas McMonagle, Martha Finnegan

TL;DR
This study shows that outpatient ECT for depression is safe and effective in Ireland, saving hospital beds and helping patients with treatment-resistant depression.
Contribution
The first clinical pilot of acute outpatient ECT in Ireland, demonstrating its safety and effectiveness.
Findings
Four patients completed outpatient ECT with no adverse events and saved 140 inpatient bed days.
Three patients showed significant improvement, while one discontinued due to minimal response.
Stakeholders noted the need for more community reviews but acknowledged positive outcomes.
