Serife Dilara Yozgatli, Felix Clay

TL;DR
This audit checks how well an old age mental health team follows guidelines for monitoring antipsychotic side effects in elderly patients.
Contribution
The study provides a practical audit of antipsychotic monitoring compliance in an elderly community mental health team.
Findings
Most patients received blood work and vital sign monitoring, but ECGs were missing for 29% of patients.
Only 35% of patients were assessed for movement disorders, indicating a gap in monitoring practices.
Collaboration between psychiatrists and GPs is recommended to improve monitoring compliance.
