Abstract
Background/Objectives: Dementia is one of the leading causes of disability and dependence among older adults. Early screening may support timely intervention and risk management, contributing to better outcomes at the public health level. However, evidence relating to the factors influencing dementia screening acceptance and knowledge among older adults remains limited. This study aimed to assess dementia knowledge and screening acceptance among older adults, identify their associated factors, and explore the relationship between the two. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 272 older adults in three Chinese communities. Data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire covering socio-demographic characteristics, dementia knowledge, and screening acceptance.
