## TL;DR

This paper introduces a new method to create a variety of calcitriol-like compounds that could be useful for drug development.

## Contribution

The paper presents a novel Diversity-Oriented Synthesis approach to generate calcitriol analogs with sulfur-containing side chains.

## Key findings

- A useful building block was synthesized for creating calcitriol analogs.
- The Diversity-Oriented Synthesis method allows pharmaceutical companies to access a diverse library of compounds.

## Abstract

We report the synthesis of a very useful building block that could give pharmaceutical companies access to a series of novel calcitriol analogs, a library of compounds. This approach is called Diversity-Oriented Synthesis (DOS).
