Eleanor Mitham, Katherine Wickham, Elizabeth Pillai, Stella Rosson, Miranda Holliday

TL;DR
This project aimed to improve sexual and reproductive health care for women in a psychiatric ward by enhancing screening and referrals, finding some progress but highlighting the need for better patient and staff education.
Contribution
The study introduces a practical quality improvement approach to address overlooked sexual and reproductive health issues in psychiatric inpatients.
Findings
Referrals for sexual and reproductive health concerns increased from 0% to 40% after implementing a referral guide.
Despite no improvement in form completion rates, clinicians identified more health concerns in patients without completed forms.
Patient education, particularly about cervical screening, is identified as a key area for future improvement.
