TL;DR
This study compares how flooding affects mental health in India and the UK, finding that mental health impacts are more severe in India due to socioeconomic factors and limited resources.

The novel contribution is a comparative analysis of mental health outcomes from flooding in two distinct socioeconomic contexts.
Findings
India shows higher rates of depression, anxiety, and PTSD after flooding compared to the UK.
Socioeconomic differences and access to mental health resources significantly influence post-flood psychological states.
Financial impact correlates with increased psychological stress in both countries.
