The novel contribution is implementing and evaluating a structured MS Teams handover system aligned with national guidelines to enhance patient safety and documentation.
Findings
Transitioning to MS Teams increased resident doctor satisfaction to 100% and reduced patient safety concerns from 66.67% to 20%.
Confidence in patient confidentiality rose to 100%, and all doctors felt the new system met medico-legal requirements.
Standardized templates and training improved handover quality and information transfer.
