TL;DR
A rare case of endometrial carcinosarcoma metastasizing to the breast is reported, highlighting the importance of accurate diagnosis through histopathology.
Contribution
This is the first reported case of a solitary breast metastasis from endometrial carcinosarcoma without other metastases.
Findings
A 68-year-old woman presented with endometrial carcinosarcoma and a solitary breast mass.
Histopathological evaluation confirmed the breast lesion as metastatic, not a primary tumor.
Complete cytoreductive surgery was performed with no macroscopic residual disease.
Abstract
•Endometrial carcinosarcoma case presenting with an isolated breast lesion, without radiological evidence of metastasis.•Awareness of atypical presentations of high–grade endometrial tumors.•Critical role of histopathological evaluation in distinguishing metastasis from synchronous primary tumors.•Multidisciplinary evaluation enabled accurate diagnosis and optimal treatment planning.
