Abstract
Globally, there is increasing attention on mental health promotion for young people because of its great public health and social significance. The scarcity of suitable mental health measures for young people underscores the urgent need for tailored interventions to address their unique mental health challenges. This study explores the reliability and validity of the self-rated mental health measurement scale (SRMHS) for assessing Chinese youth mental health in an urban context in China, addressing a critical research gap in culturally and contextually appropriate mental health measurement instruments.
