TL;DR
This study finds that 11% of older Chinese adults with cataracts experience anxiety, influenced by factors like poor health and sleep.
Contribution
The study identifies key risk and protective factors for anxiety in cataract patients using a Random Forest model for factor ranking.
Findings
Poor economic status and obesity are significant risk factors for anxiety in cataract patients.
Eating fresh fruits and older age are protective against anxiety symptoms.
A Random Forest model ranks age as the most important factor affecting anxiety in cataract patients.
