## TL;DR

This paper explores how the frequency of mutations in myeloid-related genes can help diagnose and predict outcomes in myelodysplastic syndrome.

## Contribution

The study highlights the dynamic evolution of variant allele frequencies (VAF) in myeloid-related genes during MDS progression.

## Key findings

- Myeloid-related gene mutations are linked to MDS diagnosis and prognosis.
- VAF of these mutations changes dynamically during MDS progression.
- VAF provides value in MDS classification and treatment response assessment.
