Abstract
The successful execution of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) policies is crucial for developing a strong Regional Innovation System (RIS) in Ethiopia, which is essential for promoting economic growth and enhancing competitiveness. This study utilized a document review approach to critically analyze Ethiopia’s current STI policies and legal frameworks within the context of the Regional Innovation System (RIS). The findings indicate potential solutions to strengthen Ethiopia’s regional innovation system, including increasing funding for research and development (R&D), fostering better collaboration between universities and industries, and cultivating an entrepreneurial culture.
