TL;DR
This study finds that 36% of women living with HIV in Italy experience sexual dysfunction, with menopause and age being key risk factors.
Contribution
The study is one of the few to investigate sexual dysfunction prevalence and risk factors specifically in women living with HIV using the FSFI questionnaire.
Findings
36% of women scored below the FSFI cut-off, indicating increased risk of sexual dysfunction.
The most impaired domains were desire (56.4%) and lubrication (52.1%).
Age and menopausal status were significantly correlated with lower FSFI scores.
