Edith M Heintjes, Marjolein Y Berger, Bart W Koes, Sita M Bierma-Zeinstra

TL;DR
This study describes a large primary care cohort of patients with knee complaints to better understand their prognosis and treatment needs.
Contribution
The study presents a unique primary care knee cohort with a broad age range and diverse complaint types.
Findings
The cohort included 1068 patients with knee complaints from general practice.
Selective recruitment was observed, particularly underrepresentation of men aged 12 to 35 years.
The cohort is considered representative for generalizing results to the Dutch population.
