TL;DR
This study explores how group meetings can help new graduate nurses in a burn ICU manage stress, build confidence, and feel more supported in their work environment.
Contribution
The novel contribution is the implementation of nurse-led group meetings to specifically address the mental and emotional needs of new graduate nurses in a burn ICU.
Findings
New graduate nurses reported increased confidence in clinical situations after attending group meetings.
Participants felt more resilient and safer in seeking guidance from senior nurses following the meetings.
Attendees endorsed the concept of group meetings and suggested they should be introduced earlier during orientation.
