Abstract
Background: With an increase in employees with cancer, employers are making efforts to ensure that employees with cancer can continue to work while maintaining and improving their physical and mental health, just as those without cancer. However, little is known about how the health conditions of employees undergoing cancer treatment differ from those of employees without cancer. This study aimed to examine health problems other than cancer in employees with cancer compared to those without cancer, stratified based on sex and cancer type. Methods: This study was conducted using data from the Stress Check Program and health insurance claims for Japanese corporate employees in 2015 and 2016.
