Clare Hawkes, Jonathan J. Chandran, Kasia Kozlowska

TL;DR
A 15-year-old girl with complex health issues developed hallucinations and suicidal thoughts after taking prucalopride for constipation, highlighting a rare psychiatric side effect.
Contribution
This is the second documented case of acute neuropsychiatric symptoms linked to prucalopride in adolescents.
Findings
Prucalopride triggered visual and auditory hallucinations in a medically complex adolescent.
Suicidal ideation occurred shortly after a single dose of prucalopride.
Psychiatric symptoms resolved after discontinuing the drug and providing targeted interventions.
