TL;DR
This study examines the types and age distribution of gynecologic cancers in northeastern Nigeria, highlighting a high prevalence among young women.
Contribution
The study provides multi-institutional data on gynecologic malignancies in a region with limited prior research.
Findings
Cervical cancer was the most common gynecologic malignancy, affecting 66.6% of patients.
Abnormal vaginal bleeding was the most frequent presenting symptom, reported by 38% of patients.
High parity, with 4 to 7 births per woman, was observed in the study population.
