TL;DR
This study explores how transportation access affects community reintegration and healthcare service use after burn injuries.
Contribution
It identifies transportation access as a key factor in community integration but not in healthcare service utilization after burn injury.
Findings
Driving one's own vehicle was associated with higher community integration scores six months after injury.
Transportation access did not significantly affect the use of outpatient care services.
Participants who drove had shorter hospital stays and fewer mobility issues.
