Christine Grauer, Miranda Yelvington, Beverly Spray

TL;DR
This study examines how patient and center factors affect healthcare providers' professional quality of life and turnover intention in a Burn Center.
Contribution
The study compares provider well-being and turnover intention during high and low patient census periods in a Burn Center.
Findings
Healthcare providers showed moderate levels of professional quality of life and low turnover intention.
Burn Team members had higher moral distress during high census and higher compassion satisfaction compared to Non-Burn Team members.
Moral distress in Burn Team members may be linked to patient deaths and complex care situations.
