Paria Parhami, Sydney E Moriarty, Jay Parikh, Linda Galicki

TL;DR
A military veteran developed delusional parasitosis after prolonged intravenous DMT use, suggesting a possible link between hallucinogen use and psychosis.
Contribution
This is the first reported case linking prolonged intravenous DMT use to delusional parasitosis.
Findings
A 60-year-old veteran with PTSD and a history of DMT use developed persistent delusions of parasitic infestation.
Delusions persisted despite initial treatment but improved after hospitalization and psychoeducation.
The case highlights a novel potential link between DMT and delusional parasitosis.
