PMC · DOI: 10.3760/cma.j.cn121090-20241111-00444 · Chinese Journal of Hematology · 2024-12-01

## TL;DR

This paper presents Chinese guidelines for evaluating treatment response and monitoring minimal residual disease in multiple myeloma.

## Contribution

The novelty lies in providing a unified, comprehensive guideline tailored for Chinese clinical practice in multiple myeloma assessment.

## Key findings

- Multiple myeloma response assessment is complex and relies on M protein levels, bone marrow plasma cells, and imaging.
- Minimal residual disease detection reveals deeper remission and has gained clinical consensus.
- The guidelines aim to standardize evaluation and improve treatment guidance in China.
