## TL;DR

This paper discusses how metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) can improve diagnosing infections in patients with hematological diseases.

## Contribution

The paper reviews the current status and challenges of mNGS in diagnosing infections related to hematological diseases.

## Key findings

- mNGS offers high sensitivity and broad coverage for pathogen detection.
- Challenges remain in the clinical application of mNGS for hematological infections.
- Understanding mNGS's value and limitations can guide its appropriate use.
