Nurit Stadler, Shlomit Flint

TL;DR
This paper explores how womb-tomb structures in the Holy Land influence and are influenced by human rituals, revealing connections between architecture, anatomy, and power.
Contribution
The study introduces a novel interdisciplinary method to analyze architectural and anthropological dynamics in womb-tomb structures.
Findings
Womb-tomb structures share architectural traits that dictate specific bodily movements.
These structures reveal new links between human anatomy, afterlife concepts, and territorial ownership.
A nine-stage method combines architectural and anthropological approaches to analyze these sites.
