Abstract
Burnout and emotional strain among healthcare professionals are prevalent issues, impacting their personal wellbeing and affecting the quality of care they provide to patients. The Schwartz Center for Compassionate Healthcare (Boston, Massachusetts, United States) attempted to address some of these challenges by creating Schwartz Rounds®, which is a platform for caregivers to openly discuss the social and emotional aspects of their work. Our study evaluates the role played by virtual Schwartz Rounds in supporting healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Between April 2021 and November 2023, 28 virtual Schwartz Rounds sessions were hosted with a total recorded attendance of 2664.
