TL;DR
This study created a reliable scale to measure patients' hesitancy toward isotretinoin treatment for acne due to its potential side effects.

The development and validation of a new psychological scale to assess isotretinoin treatment hesitancy in acne patients.
Findings
The final scale consists of 22 items grouped into three factors: reversible adverse effects, irreversible adverse effects, and isotretinoin-related anxiety.
The scale demonstrated good internal consistency with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.81 for the overall scale.
Factor analysis identified distinct domains of patient concerns related to isotretinoin treatment.
