TL;DR
This study found that many patients with Paget’s bone disease experience poor mental health, but mental health scores were not linked to physical symptoms or treatment.
Contribution
The study is the first to use the MHC-SF to evaluate mental health in Paget’s disease patients.
Findings
53.3% of patients had poor mental health according to the MHC-SF.
Mental health scores were not significantly associated with age, pain, complications, or treatment.
The MHC-SF proved useful in identifying mental health issues in Paget’s disease patients.
