TL;DR
The paper investigates the link between hearing loss and depression in the workplace, finding associations with tinnitus and certain job roles.
Contribution
The study identifies a novel association between anxio-depressive disorders and specific workplace factors like tinnitus and teleconsultant positions.
Findings
Anxiety-depressive disorders were associated with tinnitus (p=0.036) and teleconsultant job positions (p=0.009).
Sensorineural hearing loss was the most common type observed in patients.
Early screening for at-risk individuals is recommended to address the link between hearing loss and depression.
