TL;DR
The paper discusses a case where persistent symptoms after a mild COVID-19 infection were mistaken for depression, highlighting the need to consider 'long-COVID' in differential diagnoses.
Contribution
The paper introduces the importance of recognizing persistent COVID as a distinct diagnostic entity in patients presenting with depressive and somatic symptoms.
Findings
Persistent symptoms after mild COVID-19 can mimic depression, complicating diagnosis.
Long-COVID commonly presents with fatigue, headaches, and low mood in middle-aged women.
Adjustment Disorder with Depressed Mood should be considered alongside Major Depressive Disorder in post-COVID cases.
