H. Lopez-Pelayo, C. Oliveras

TL;DR
This paper explores how to define risky cannabis use by drawing parallels with alcohol consumption strategies, aiming to support public health approaches in Europe.
Contribution
The paper proposes using the concept of standard cannabis units to operationalize risky cannabis use, inspired by alcohol-related public health frameworks.

Portugal, Spain, and Luxembourg have the highest rates of daily cannabis use.
Standard units could help define and prevent risky cannabis consumption.
