TL;DR
This study explores the expectations of children and adolescents with cancer, finding that older patients tend to have lower expectations and that satisfaction with medical staff is linked to better outcomes.
Contribution
The study introduces and validates the Multidimensional Expectation Questionnaire (MEQ) for assessing expectations in pediatric cancer patients.
Findings
Older pediatric cancer patients have significantly lower expectations as they age.
