C. Díaz Mayoral, P. Setién Preciados, E. Arroyo Sánchez

TL;DR
This paper explores how childhood trauma, especially sexual abuse, is linked to the later development of psychosis, using a case study and reviewing existing research.
Contribution
The paper contributes a detailed case report and a literature review highlighting the causal role of childhood abuse in psychosis.
Findings
Childhood sexual and physical abuse are strongly associated with later psychosis symptoms.
Trauma in early life correlates with increased severity of psychotic symptoms.
Psychotherapy combined with medication can lead to significant improvement in patients with trauma-related psychosis.
