TL;DR
This study compares impulsivity patterns in adult ADHD and BPD to help distinguish these disorders and guide treatment.
Contribution
The study identifies distinct impulsivity profiles in adult ADHD and BPD, offering a potential tool for differential diagnosis.
Findings
Adult ADHD shows higher attentional impulsivity and stopping impulsivity compared to BPD and controls.
BPD is characterized by greater emotional regulation difficulties and similar strategy formulation to controls.
Both aADHD and BPD exhibit elevated waiting impulsivity compared to controls.
